Otherlands:ONE (release Apr. 23, 2021) was a nine-month journey through six countries (Spain, Ireland, Scotland, India, Japan, Finland) by American fiddler Casey Driessen and his family, guided by collaboration within local music traditions, from September 2019 through May 2020. The project was entirely self-produced and encounters were documented via video and audio recordings, photos, essays, and playlists. While eventually affected by COVID-19, the expedition covered thousands of miles, grew friendships, and was successful as a search for understanding, inspiration, and growth on all levels—familial, personal and artistic.
